Hair Genesis Review
Hair Genesis is a hair loss product usable by both men and women for mild to moderate hair loss or thinning hair. Much like other hair loss treatment products, Hair Genesis contains ingredients that are intended to inhibit the effects of DHT, a derivative of the male hormone, testosterone, on hair follicles. DHT has been conclusively determined to be a contributing factor in pattern hair loss for those genetically predisposed to baldness.
Hair Genesis contains a combination of botanical elements, which can be taken orally or applied directly to the scalp. The alternative medication does not need FDA approval since it contains botanical and natural elements.
A clinical research study provided by the makers of Hair Genesis, Advanced Restoration Technolgies, Inc., showed that 60% of users of the product showed positive results and experienced no further hair loss.
Typically, users begin to see results after about 2 to 3 months. That time span is normal for DHT inhibitors. Since the hair that is thinning is in a period of rest in its growth cycle, the hair must first fall out before new, thicker hair can be grown. All hair has a growth cycle of about 2 to 6 years, ending with a 2 to 3 month rest period before falling out and starting over. A small amount of hair loss may be experienced before the affected hair follicles begin growing new hair. This is perfectly normal.
Benefits of Hair Genesis
Hair Geneis is intended to prevent further hair loss and thinning symptoms due to genetic pattern baldness. The effect on pattern hair loss is to prevent additional loss or thinning, rather than to replace lost hair. Hair follicles that are genetically suceptible to DHT have a tendency to shrink and eventually close off the hair root from growing hair through its normal process. Hair Genesis prevents DHT from reacting to the hair follicles and keeps them open longer.
Although the treatment can be used to prevent additional hair loss due to genetic pattern baldness, if the treatment is ever ceased, the natural progression of hair loss will take its course.
Method of Treatment
Hair Genesis offers a line of products that can be ingested or utilized topically. The company suggests orally taking two of its Revitalizing Oral Soft Gel DHT Blockers daily.
The serum topical treatment should be used twice a day, while the company recommends that the Hair Genesis shampoo and conditioner is used at least three to four times each week.
Costs of Hair Genesis
The associated costs depend on the treatment form. The most expensive are the oral SoftGels, which are about $70 for a one month supply. A one month supply of the topical serum treatment is about $25. Hair Genesis shampoo and conditioner can be purchased for about $20, and each bottle is intended to last approximately two months.
Side Effects
There have been no published reports of side effects. Hair Genesis is a natural product and is less likely to cause noticeable side effects than chemically-based products. However, along with any topical treatment, users may experience itchy, dry scalp or possibly rash. In addition, since the elements in Hair Genesis are a hormone inhibitor, a decrease in libido may be possible.
