How Does Biotin Work?

Taken Orally vs. Used Topically

Biotin can be found in topical hair treatments such as shampoos.  However, the body does absorb Biotin well through the skin and should be taken orally in foods and as a supplement.  It is thought to be a great supplement to take along with the hair loss treatments of Rogaine or Propecia.
